Some reasons may be psychosomatic, a product of irrational thoughts and feelings.

Traumatic incidents such as loss of love ones or other painful experiences may also be possible causes. A panic attack is also triggered by some simple objects or events or environmental conditions considered as phobic by others. Even food and drinks with stimulants and excessive sugar may trigger panic attacks for some. Research evidence even points out that panic attack is a hereditary condition, a long term and predetermined cause.
